Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity to get into a beautiful and unique English sedan with serious collector grade appreciation. Im sure the AC system will need an overhaul.

With that being said, im sure this car can be a runner driver with minimal work, But all systems will need to be gone through or rebuilt as any car that’s been sitting for a long period of time. The engine spins freely and even fired right up with a couple of sprays of starting fluid. Not to say there wont be any cleaning needed, but all seems to be in very nice shape. This is not a car that was left outside with terminal corrosion issues. Lights, ignition, horn, signals, blower motor etc all seem to be functioning. With a battery hooked up most things work. The electrical in the car seems to be in working condition. The trunk area is very nice and seems to have the original spare, tool kit and jack. New carpets and addressing the seats would do wonders. A lot of the interior is in a remarkably well preserved condition and is the last thing I would address. I believe the leather can be fixed and made to look pretty decent with a competent leather specialist, or at the worst new seat hides will be needed. I don’t see any split or warped wood with the veneer flaking off, so this is a huge plus. The wood in this car is in my opinion only needing a scuff and re varnish. As most of us know, the wood and leather gets expensive in these cars, especially when starting with junk. The interior is very serviceable and has a nice patina. The chrome is of average condition and is fine and showable for a driver quality car. The sons father had the car resprayed in what I believe to be the original color somewhere in the early 70’s and it was not a stellar job, so an obvious re paint is in need. The body has sustained minor dings and dents and scratches over the years of living in a garage, and its paint work has seen better days. The body on this Jag is seriously one of the most rust free European cars I have seen, and I have found no cancer anywhere! This is a huge deal when restoring these cars as many are plagued with rust issues. It is unbelievably rust free and will make a wonderful project for its new owner. His son has been the caretaker ever since! The last time the car was driven was somewhere in the 2000’s and upon being taken off the road in 74 it hasn’t seen much use, hence the low original miles of 70k. The car has sat in a garage since 1974 when its owner sadly passed away. This is a matching numbered 1963 Jaguar MK10 and is supposedly a two owner from new. Up for your bidding consideration is one of the best Jaguar MK10 projects I have ever seen.
